One of the most diverse wards in the City of Chicago, the 46th has an array of dining, entertainment, and outdoor activity options, all easily accessible via Lake Shore Drive, CTA busses and CTA's Red Line which runs right through the heart of the 46th.

The 46th’s Eastern border is Lake Michigan and it extends West as far as Clark Street in most of the ward. We have wonderful restaurants, supermarkets, easy access to public transportation, two hospital campuses, and iconic entertainment venues including the Green Mill Jazz Club, the Riviera Theatre, the Aragon Ballroom, and the soon to be renovated historic Uptown Theatre. An incredible number of new businesses and arts venues are opening up in the 46th ward – from theatres in Lakeview and Buena Park to the new Uptown Arcade and Uptown Underground on Lawrence Avenue.
