At the ward's southern end, Lakeview East runs from the lakefront parks west toward Clark Street, blending high-rise lakefront living with the restaurants, theatres, and nightlife of the Broadway and Halsted corridors. It's a walkable, transit-rich stretch — steps from the lake, minutes from Wrigley Field, and part of one of the city's most vibrant LGBTQ+ communities.

Gill Park anchors the neighborhood with a fieldhouse, pool, and gardens, and the lakefront trail, harbor, and beaches are all within easy reach. It's a lively, densely connected corner of the ward with a strong small-business scene and an active chamber of commerce.
