Buena Park is one of the North Side's quietest surprises — a compact district of vintage greystones, courtyard buildings, and a landmarked historic core around Buena Avenue and Hutchinson Street, where some of Chicago's finest early-20th-century homes still line the block.

Its close-knit Buena Park Neighbors association keeps the gardens blooming and the block parties going, while the lakefront is only a short walk east — Montrose Beach and Harbor bring dunes, a celebrated bird sanctuary at Montrose Point, and the open green of Cricket Hill right to the neighborhood's doorstep.
